Amanda outdid herself with this quilt. As I’ve made each block, different friends have come to mind. I think I can count myself as lucky to have the friends I do. I hope you all know how much I appreciate you!
Since there were four of these blocks, I wanted to make sure they were all a little different from one another. This is how I set up making one block using a variety of fabrics. And the Ruby Ruler from Wisecraft really came in handy for getting the contrast in value just right.
For the stems, I like to use Best Press for extra body. I press the strips toward the center in thirds.
The Roxanne’s Glue -Baste-It comes in handy to lightly glue the layers in place, and to attach the stem to the background before it’s sewn down.
